Terms & Conditions

1. Purpose and scope

These general terms and conditions of sale (hereinafter referred to as the "GTC") govern all reservations, stays and services offered by the Hotel NOTO, located within the GRIDX Multifunctional Centre in Wickrange (Luxembourg), rue des 3 Cantons ("the Hotel" or "the Establishment").

Any reservation implies full and complete acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, which prevail over any other document, unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Hotel.

Reservations made for groups or as part of corporate events are subject to separate, specific conditions. All inquiries should be sent to reservations@notohotel.com.

2. Reservations

Reservations can be made:

Depending on the chosen rate, several options are available:

  • Prepaid rate: immediate payment upon booking. This rate benefits from a special preferential price but is neither modifiable nor refundable;
  • Standard rate: payment upon arrival according to the conditions indicated at the time of booking. Cancellation is possible in accordance with these Terms and Conditions;
  • Prices offered by partner platforms: the cancellation and modification conditions specific to these platforms remain applicable when they differ from these Terms and Conditions.

Any request for modification must be sent exclusively by email to reservations@notohotel.com.

The modifications remain subject to availability and agreement of the Establishment.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are expressed in euros.

Unless otherwise stated, the tourist tax is not included in the displayed price.

Breakfast may be included or offered as an extra depending on the rate booked.

Payments are accepted by, among others:

  • bank cards;
  • cash within the limits authorized by law;
  • bank transfer when it has been accepted by the Establishment.

Payment is made:

  • either when booking for prepaid rates;
  • or on arrival for the other rates.

The Hotel reserves the right to request a bank guarantee in the form of a pre-authorisation or a security deposit of 100 EUR (one hundred euros), intended to cover in particular any damage or additional costs.

Refusal to provide the requested guarantee may result in denial of access to the room.

4. Cancellation, modification and early departure

For reservations made directly with the Hotel, cancellations are possible until 00:00 the day before arrival, except for special pricing conditions.

Prepaid or expressly non-refundable reservations are not eligible for any refunds.

Bookings made through a platform remain subject to that platform's cancellation policy.

In the event of early departure attributable to the client, the entirety of the reserved stay remains due.

In the event of a no-show, the Hotel may, if it has the guest's contact information, attempt to contact them to ascertain their intentions. If there is no response or information to the contrary, the reservation will be considered cancelled. The reserved nights will remain payable according to the applicable rate conditions.

5. Check-in and check-out

Rooms are available from 3:00 PM.

They must be vacated by 10:00 AM on the day of departure.

Any late departure may result in additional charges, or even an extra night depending on the actual time of departure.

6. Customer identification

In accordance with the legal obligations applicable in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and for security reasons, each occupant of the room must present a valid identity document upon arrival.

All guests must be registered at reception.

External visitors are permitted only under the responsibility of the guest being hosted and must also be declared at reception.

Any undeclared person may result in additional charges, a change of room if necessary, or the refusal of their accommodation.

Minors may only stay at the Establishment under the responsibility and in the presence of a parent, legal representative or duly authorized adult, who remains responsible for their supervision, their behavior and any damage they may cause.

7. Room occupancy

Each room can only accommodate a maximum number of occupants corresponding to its capacity.

In the event of an overbooking or inaccurate declaration regarding the occupants, the Hotel may, subject to availability:

  • assign a suitable room for an additional fee;
  • refuse accommodation for additional people.

The Hotel may access a room, including in the absence of the client, in case of emergency, technical necessity, security or when an intervention appears necessary to preserve people, property or facilities of the Establishment, in particular in case of fire, water damage, triggering of an alarm, suspicion of illness or any other event requiring immediate intervention.

8. Animals

Dogs and cats are allowed for an additional charge of €25 per night or according to the rate communicated at the time of booking.

The owner remains solely responsible for their pet and must sign the pet procedure.

Animals should never be left alone in a room.

They are allowed in the Hotel's common areas in compliance with the safety rules and the peace and quiet of other guests.

Any damage, special cleaning or nuisance caused by an animal will be fully charged to its owner.

The Hotel may require the immediate departure of the animal, or even the client, in the event of dangerous behavior or repeated disturbances.

9. Customer behavior

The hotel is entirely non-smoking and non-vaping.

Any consumption of tobacco or electronic cigarettes in a room will result in a flat charge of two hundred and fifty euros (250 EUR), corresponding to the costs of restoration, deodorization and possible immobilization of the room.

Parties, private gatherings or unauthorized events are prohibited.

Customers agree to respect the peace and quiet of the premises.

Between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM, everyone will take care to avoid any noise disturbance.

The Hotel reserves the right to terminate the stay immediately, without compensation or refund, in the event of violence, threats, aggressive or intimidating behavior towards staff or other guests, serious or repeated disturbances, damage, refusal to comply with staff instructions, or, more generally, any behavior that compromises the safety, peace, or proper functioning of the Establishment. The Hotel may, if necessary, request the intervention of law enforcement.

10. Prohibited activities

It is strictly forbidden to use the rooms or premises of the Hotel for illegal purposes or purposes contrary to public order.

Specifically prohibited are:

  • the possession or consumption of narcotics;
  • prostitution or any form of sexual exploitation;
  • human trafficking;
  • unauthorized commercial activities;
  • fraudulent behavior;
  • the introduction of weapons, explosives or dangerous objects;
  • the introduction or use in the rooms or in the common areas of the Hotel of bicycles, scooters, electric scooters, candles, stoves, hot plates or any device or equipment that may present a safety risk or increase the risk of fire.

In such a case, the Hotel may:

  • deny access;
  • immediately terminate the stay;
  • request the intervention of the competent authorities;
  • retain the remaining amounts owed;
  • claim full compensation for the damage suffered.

11. Damage

The customer is responsible for any damage caused by themselves, their companions, their visitors or their animals.

The Hotel may, in particular, charge for:

  • the costs of exceptional cleaning;
  • costs related to tobacco odors;
  • the replacement of linens;
  • missing or damaged equipment;
  • damaged furniture;
  • the costs of immobilizing a room;
  • any other necessary repairs.

Damage is assessed by the hotel staff.

The Hotel may debit the bank guarantee after the customer's departure, after informing the customer and providing the necessary supporting documents.

When the extent of the damage or costs incurred cannot be determined immediately upon the client's departure, the Hotel reserves the right to establish and invoice the corresponding amounts after assessment, expert evaluation or preparation of estimates, upon presentation of the necessary supporting documents.

12. Safes – Forgotten items

Each room is equipped with a safe.

The client remains solely responsible for its use. The Hotel accepts no liability for loss, theft, or damage to clients' personal belongings.

Forgotten items are kept for a period of three months.

If no claim is made within this period, they may be destroyed or disposed of without compensation.

13. Parking and services at the GRIDX complex

The hotel is located within the GRIDX Multifunctional Centre.

Certain services, including parking, catering areas or other services operated within the complex, are operated by separate companies.

Their operation, schedules and conditions of use depend on these operators (the car park is accessible 24/7).

The Hotel cannot be held responsible for interruptions, modifications or unavailability affecting these services.

14. Room unavailability

In the event of overbooking, disaster, technical failure or any other exceptional unavailability, the Hotel will strive to offer an equivalent solution.

When necessary, the client may be relocated to an establishment of equivalent or higher category, at the Hotel's expense, which will also cover any transport costs and the price difference.

15. Complaints

Any difficulties encountered during the stay must be reported to reception without delay so that the Hotel can remedy them.

All complaints must be submitted in writing to reception@notohotel.com or reservations@notohotel.com, no later than 48 hours after departure.

16. Data protection

The personal data collected in connection with the booking, stay and the execution of these general conditions are processed by the Establishment as data controller, in accordance with the applicable regulations on the protection of personal data, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (GDPR) and applicable national provisions.

This data is used exclusively for reservation management, service delivery, customer relationship management, compliance with legal and regulatory obligations and, where applicable, the defense of the Establishment's rights and interests.

Data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or to comply with applicable legal obligations. It may be disclosed only to authorized recipients or service providers acting on behalf of the Establishment, within the limits of their duties and subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.

In accordance with applicable regulations, all data subjects have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and object to the processing of their personal data, and, where applicable, the right to data portability. These rights can be exercised with the Establishment according to the procedures specified in its privacy policy.

17. Applicable law

These general terms and conditions of sale are governed by Luxembourg law. In the event of any dispute relating to their interpretation, validity or performance, the Courts of Luxembourg shall have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory provisions applicable, in particular those protecting consumers.

They are written in French, English and German.

In case of discrepancies in interpretation between the different language versions, the French version shall prevail.

18. Final provisions

The fact that the Hotel does not invoke a provision of these general terms and conditions of sale at a particular time shall not be interpreted as a waiver of its right to invoke it subsequently.

If any clause should be declared null and void or unenforceable, the other provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
